Gearhead Gathering at the Draggin’ Main Festival
Clovis, New Mexico
I attended the Gearhead Gathering as part of the Draggin’ Main Music Festival in Clovis, New Mexico. After a morning ‘meet and greet’ session with fans, I sat in the Kaiser Brother’s drag car to showcase the start up, wow, even with two sets of ear protection, my brain was rattling! Next I headed up to the main stage to help out with the event raffle, announcing winners for the 50 inch flat screen tv and Matco Tools. Then I took time to walk around, meet people and enjoy the show. There were so many amazing cars at the event!
That evening was the main attraction, the DMMF Main Street Cruise, the largest cruise in New Mexico. I met up with my friend and automotive master mind Steve Darnell and we cruised Main Street in his 1994 379 Peterbilt, aptly nicknamed '“Swamp Ass” as it was definitely hot! We had the speakers blasting as we drove by waving and everyone loved his truck, what a great community and such a fun time!
